Andrew Wiskiewski could leave Maccabi next season

Maccabi Teal Aviv could decide to release Andrew Wisniewski next season. The American guard, who averaged 8.8 points and 2.8 rebounds in the Euroleague, arrived last season from Spartak St. Petersburg to Tel Aviv. With Alan Anderson rumored to try to get a guaranteed contract in the NBA, and with Doron Perkins attracting the interest of several European teams, Chuck Eidson is the only backcourt player who will stay in Maccabi for sure next season.

Montepaschi Siena, Armani Jeans Milano and Power Electronics Valencia, interested in Doron Perkins

Doron Perkins is attracting the interest of several European teams. The American guard, now playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv, are on the radar of the Italian teams Montepaschi Siena and Armani Jeans Milano, and of Power Electronics Valencia from Spain. Perkins, who averaged 9.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists in the Euroleague this season, was signed last summer by Maccabi.

Al-Riyadi brings back Fadi El-Khatib and Matt Freije

The Lebanese team Sporting Al-Riyadi Beirut will land Fadi Al-Khatib and Matt Freije in the next Asian Championship. Al-Khatib was averaging 31.8 points and 8.7 points for Champville, while Freije, who left the team recently, will be back to the Lebanese squad. Another player who could be added to Al-Riyadi is the Egyptian guard Ahmed Ismail.

Al Jalaa Aleppo signs former NBA player Andre Brown

Andre Brown was signed for the remainder of the season by the Syrian team Al Jalaa Aleppo, the best team of the Middle East country. The 29-year-old has played this season in China for the Zheijang Wanma, and a brief one-game stint for the Puerto Rican team Leones de Ponce. Brown is known for playing between 2006 and 2008 in the NBA, for the Seattle SuperSonics, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Charlotte Bobcats.

DKV Joventut could try to sign Carlos Jiménez

Pepu Hernández, the recently hired coach of DKV Joventut, is a close friend of the veteran forward of Unicaja, Carlos Jiménez. Both worked together in Estudiantes and in the Spanish NT. The coach would love to have again Jiménez in his team, now Joventut, despite the elevated cost to sign the 34-year-old player.

Ricardo Maffei leaves Bucaneros de La Guaira

Ricardo Maffei is no longer the coach of the Bucaneros de La Guaira. The Argentinian coach arrived last month to the Venezuelan team to replace Bruno D'Adezzio, who was fired after the bad start of the season of the Bucaneros. Daniel Centeno, the assistant, will be the interim coach of the team.
