Real Madrid, also interested in Qyntel Woods

More names are being reported to be under Real Madrid radar for next season. According to ESPN, American forward Qyntel Woods, currently playing for Polish team Asseco Prokom, is attracting the interest of the Spanish team. Woods is among the best players in the Euroleague this season.

Politekhnika Halychyna, in talks with Nicola Lepojevic after waiving Zendon Hamilton and Corey Besler

Ukrainian team Politekhnika Halychyna has decided to waive recently signed center Zendon Hamilton and forward Corey Besler, who arrived in February. Halychyna team is now in talks to sign Nicola Lepojevic, who was playing in Cyprus for Pizza Express Apollon.

Caja Laboral extends Vladimir Golubovic for another month

Slovenian forward Vladimir Gloubovic will continue playing for Caja Laboral at least for another month, after being extended by the Spanish team. Golubovic signed for Caja Laboral after leaving his former team, Union Olimpija, and is averaging 1.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in the ACB league.

Red Star and Filip Videnov part ways

Bulgarian guard Filip Videnov has agreed with Serbian team Red Star the termination of his contract. Videnov, is listed as injured, but will likely find a new team to play for the rest of the season. The financial troubles of the Belgrade club is the main reason of his leaving. This is the second player who leaves Red Star in few days after the departure of Vuk Radivojevic, who will play for Besiktas.

Los Angeles D-Fenders have acquired forward Ray Reese to play the remaining 5 games of the D-League season. Reese played during the last four seasons for the University of Tulsa, averaging 10.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in his senior year with the Golden Hurricane squad.

Miami Heat, close to sign Alade Aminu

The Miami Heat will call up forward Alade Aminu, according to sources. Aminu, older brother of prospect Al-Farouq Aminu, is currently playing in the D-League for the Erie BayHawks, and is averaging 19.3 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in 33 minutes. Aminu signed for the Heat last preseason, but was waived without even playing a single minute.

Milwaukee Bucks sign Darnell Jackson

The Milwaukee Bucks have announced the acquisition of forward Darnell Jackson, waived recently from the Cleveland Cavaliers, on a waiver claim. Jackson was released by the Cavs to make room for Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and has played 27 games this season for the NBA franchise, and 2 games for the D-League affiliated team, the Erie BayHawks.

Capitanes de Arecibo release Courtney Sims

The brief stint of Courtney Sims in Puerto Rico is over. Current D-League MVP was released by Capitanes de Arecibo, where he arrived a few weeks ago. American center, who has also played for CSKA Moscow and for the Iowa Energy this season was averaging just 9.0 points and 4.4 rebounds for Puerto Rican team, and Capitanes have decided to waive him.

Mustafa Shakur, back to the D-League

After ending his 10-day contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, guard Mustafa Shakur is back to the D-League, after being re-acquired by Tulsa 66ers. Shakur didn't play a single minute in his stint in the Thunder, and is back to the 66ers, where he has averaged 20.8 points, 7.1 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 40 games this season. Shakur will take the spot left by center Steven Hill, waived due to an injury, who has re-acquired last month by the 66ers.

Venson Hamilton close to sign for a try-out with DKV Joventut

DKV Joventut is close to sign American forward Venson Hamilton to a try-out. Spanish team is looking for a temporary replacement for recently injured center Antonio Bueno. Hamilton, a free agent since leaving Real Madrid last season, is trying to get fit again after a serious knee injury who barely let him play during the last two seasons.
