Khimik and LaVell Blanchard part ways

More movements in Khimik. The Ukrainian team has released LaVell Blanchard after reaching an agreement with the player to terminate his contract. Blanchard was averaging 11.6 points and 5 rebounds in 19 games with Khimik in Ukrainian Super League. This is the second player who left the team this week after Ivan Koljevic.

Alonzo Gee will be signed to a second 10-day contract by Washington Wizards

Alonzo Gee will see rewarded his good performances for Washington Wizards with a second 10-day contract. Gee was called up by the NBA franchise from the D-League team Austin Toros, and recorded a double-double (13 points and 10 rebounds) against the Nuggets on Tuesday, and 20 points and 9 rebounds in his first game against Atlanta.

Al Harrington wants to play for Nets next season

Al Harrington is playing his last games with New York Knicks. 30-year-old forward will become an unrestricted free agent, and it's very unlikely to go back to New York next season. Harrington, born in New Jersey state, would like to play for Nets next season. Other teams that are reported to be interested in Harrington next summer are Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls and Portland Trail Blazers.

Andrei Podkovyrov, who resigned a month ago from Azovmash Mariupol, will be the new head coach for Budivelnik after the leaving of Rimantas Grigas, who could sign soon for Zalgiris Kaunas. Podkovyrov will be back to Budivelnik, after spending in the Ukrainian team as a player.

Maceo Baston offered to Hapoel Jerusalem

American forward Maceo Baston, recently released by Budivelnik, has been offered to Israeli team Hapoel Jerusalem. His high cost, though, is the main obstacle for his signing. Another options for Hapoel are Rob Kurz, currently playing in D-League team Fort Wayne Mad Ants, and Donnell Harvey, from Chinese team Jiangsu Dragons.

Sioux Falls Skyforce re-acquire Joe Krabbenhoft

Former University of Winsconsin player Joe Krabbenhoft was re-acquired by D-League franchise Sioux Falls Skyforce. 22-year-old center started the season with Sioux Falls, averaging 12.4 points and 7.3 rebounds in nine games, but left the team on December 29.

Oklahoma City Thunder sign Mustafa Shakur to a 10-day contract

Another call up from a NBA franchise. Oklahoma City Thunder have signed guard Mustafa Shakur to a 10-day contract. This is the 24th call up of the season. Shakur was playing for Tulsa 66ers, averaging 20.7 points and 7.2 assists. Last season, he played for Tau Cerámica, in Spain, and for Panellinios, in Greece.

Khimik releases Ivan Koljevic

Ukrainian team, after announcing the arrival of Brian Wethers, released Montenegrin guard Ivan Koljevic, who was signied on January. Koljevic played 7 games for Khimik in the Ukrainian Super League, averaging 13.1 points and 4.4 assists per game, after starting the season in Turkish team Bornova.

Jeremy Tyler, to be waived soon by Maccabi Haifa

Jeremy Tyler could have been waived by Maccabi Haifa according to some media, though the Israeli team hasn't announced it. 18-year-old forward has played just 10 games with Maccabi Haifa, and has been a huge disappointment this season. The intention of Tyler is to continue playing in Europe for one more year.
