San Antonio Spurs sign Garrett Temple to a 10-day contract

San Antonio Spurs have announced that they signed guard Garrett Temple to a 10-day contract, just at the end of the previous 10-day contract of the player with Sacramento Kings. This is the third call up of the season for Temple, who has also played for Houston Rockets. When not in the NBA, Temple plays for Rio Grande Valley Vipers, in the D-League.

Dakota Wizards acquire Corsley Edwards

Dakota Wizards have acquired center Corsley Edwards. 31-year-old player started the season in China, averaging 29.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in Shaanxi. To make room for Edwards, Wizards waived Cory Underwood (signed less than a month ago). The D-League franchise also waived Cheyne Gadson earlier this week after the assignment of Lester Hudson. Curiously, Gadson is Cory Underwood cousin.

Albany Legends sign former NBA player Kenny Satterfield

Albany Legends, a franchise from the International Basketball League (IBL), signed former NBA player Kenny Satterfield. 28-year-old guard, who spent two years in Denver Nuggets and in Philadelphia 76ers between 2001 and 2003, played most recently for Mexican team Bucaneros de Campeche.

Mindaugas Katelynas, considering to continue in Meridiano Alicante

Lithuanian forward Mindaugas Katelynas is considering the contract extension offer from his current team, Meridiano Alicante. Katelynas doesn't have any offer from another team and is happy with the Spanish club, so the deal could be done soon. 26-year-old player is averaging 11 points and 5 rebounds per game this season.

Xacobeo Blu:Sens signs Maurice Bailey to a 1-month contract

Finally, Maurice Bailey passed the try-out with Xacobeo Blu:Sens, and will make his debut with the Spanish squad this weekend. The injury of the starting point guard, Maxi Stanic, out for 30 days, was definitive to sign American player for a month. Bailey started the season with Red Star, but was waived and replaced with Mike Taylor, curiously now released by the Serbian team due to an injury.

Oklahoma City Thunder recall Kyle Weaver

After averaging 12.4 points, 7.2 assists and 5.4 rebounds with Tulsa 66ers, guard Kyle Weaver was recalled by his team Oklahoma City Thunder. Weaver was assigned by Thunder for second time to the D-League franchise 10 days ago, along with center B.J. Mullens, after playing just three games in this season with Oklahoma City in the NBA.

Charlotte Bobcats sign Larry Hughes

Charlotte Bobcats have signed veteran player Larry Hughes, recently released by Sacramento Kings. Bobcats were already interested weeks ago in Hughes, but a guard broken finger made the NBA franchise to wait a little bit. Hughes have passed the physical test, and is ready to practice with his new team next Saturday.

Mike Taylor leaves Red Star due to an injury

Guard Mike Taylor left Serbian team Red Star and returned to the United States. American player has an injury on his knee, and will be a month out. Taylor asked for recovering back in the U.S.A., and both parts agree to a termination of the contract. Red Star will have to find a replacement for Taylor

Veteran center Julius Nwosu, back to Dominican team Gregorio Urbano Gilbert

38-year-old player Julius Nwosu is still in the game. After a long career (having played for teams like San Antonio Spurs, CSKA Moscow or Panathinikos), Nwosu has signed with Dominican team Gregorio Urbano Gilbert. Nigerian center will join another former NBA player in GUG, Luis Felipe López, to replace Keith Butler.

Lietuvos Rytas will recall Zydrunas Kelys next year

Guard Zydrunas Kelys, currently assigned by Lietuvos Rytas to Perlas, suffered a season-ending injury recently. Lietuvos Rytas, though, still considers him a good prospect, and is planning to recall 22-year-old player next season. Kelys was averaging 16.1 points and 4.5 assists in the Lithuanian league before the injury.

New York Knicks targeting Joe Johnson for next year

The free agent market is still close until July 1, but New York Knicks are already planning next summer. One of the top targets is Atlanta Hawks forward Joe Johnson, who is represented by the same agent as new Knicks player Tracy McGrady. According to sources, a "wink-wink deal" could have been done between both parts to land Johnson to New York.
