Brose Baskets Bamberg and Eric Taylor part ways

German club Brose Baskets Bambergs and American forward Eric Taylor have reached to an agreement to resolve the contract between them. Taylor arrived to Bamberg at the start of 2008-09 season, and averaging just 2.3 points and 2.1 boards in 8.3 minutes per game this season.

BC Hoverla releases Martins Skirmants

Ukranian team Hoverla have decided to release Latvian center Matins Skirmants, due to his bad performances this season. International 32-year-old player was just averaging 3.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.9 blocks this season in Ukrainian Super League.

Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns closing a deal for Amaré Stoudamire in exchange of Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J.J. Hickson

The second important trade of the season (after the one involving Caron Butler and Josh Howard) is about to be sealed. Phoenix is closing a deal to send center Amaré Stoudamire to Cleveland in exchange of Lithuanian center Zydrunas Ilgauskas and forward J.J. Hickson. If the deal gets done, Ilgauskas will be waived to re-sign with Cleveland 30 days later.

MJUS-Fortress Kormend signs Istvan Nemeth

One of the best Hungarian players is back to his home city. 30-year-old guard has signed with MJUS-Fortress Kormend to a two-year contract, after a career around Europe in Italy, Poland, Serbia and Greece. Nemeth played last season for AEK Athens and signed (but never played) for Carife Ferrara last November.

Gravelines Dunkerque and Trey Johnson part ways

French squad Gravelines Dunkerque announced that forward Trey Johnson is no longer member of the team. Former NBA player, now a free agent, was averaging 8.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 23 minutes for the French team. 25-year-old player arrived this season to Gravelines after playing for Bakersfield Jam and Cleveland Cavaliers (for 10 days).

Official: Dallas and Washington swap Josh Howard and Caron Butler in a seven-player trade

It's official: as expected, Washington Wizards send forward Caron Butler, center Brendan Haywood and guard DeShawn Stevenson to Dallas Mavericks, in exchange of forwards Josh Howard, Drew Gooden and James Singleton, and guard Quinton Ross. After weeks of rumors, the first important deal of the season is done.

Ermis Lagadas fires Giorgos Sigalas

Former international player Giorgos Sigalas is no longer coach of Greek A2 team Ermis Lagadas. Sagalas was fired after last defeat at home against OFI Crete, leaving the team in the bottom of the table with 5 victories in 17 games. Sigalas is also the coach of Greek U20 National Team.

Mike Krzyzewski laughs on Nets interest to hire him as their head coach

Mike Krzyzewski, head coach of Duke and United States NT, denied with a great sense of humor the rumors about New Jersey Nets interest to hire him the next season. "Coach K" said there's no way a Russian guy (Mikhail Prokorov, future owner of Nets) would hire a Polish guy like him. And that if they contact him, the answer will be "nyet". Rick Pitino also slammed the rumors about his interest for coaching Nets.
