Trikala 2000 will sign David Young tomorrow

Despite of Trikala 2000 huge financial problems, Greek team will sign American forward David Young tomorrow. Young will be the replacement of Kasib Powell, who left the team because of delays in the payment of his salary. Young is expected to play next weekend with his new team.


Ramunas Butautas resigned as Zalgiris Kaunas coach

Shocking news from Kaunas: Head coach Ramunas Butautas was asked to resign by Zalgiris owner Vladimir Romanov, along with sporting director Algirdas Brazys, due to the bad results in he last weeks. Butautas arrived to Zalgiris just two months ago to replace Gintaras Krapikas, a few days after resigning as BC Donetsk head coach. The temporary Zalgiris head coach will be, for the second time this season, Darius Maskoliunas. Butautas was considering coaching Polish NT days ago.

Ludwigsburg sign T.J. Thompson, release Marcus Hall

German team EnBW Ludwigsburg has decided not to sign Marcus Hall, who was in a try-out, and add to the roster American guard T.J. Thompson until the end of the season. 28-year-old player was a free agent since last January, when left PGE Turow Zgorzelec.

Neptunas sign Simonas Serapinas

Lithuanian team Neptunas Klaipeda signed 27-year-old forward Simonas Serapinas. Former Aris Thessaloniki and Zalgiris Kaunas player, among others, started the season in Ukraine with Azovmash Mariupol, but left the team in October.

Kresimir Loncar's agent denies the rumours about a trade between CSKA and Unics Kazan

Nikita Zagday, who represents the interests of CSKA player Dimitry Sokolov, and Unics Kazan player Kresimir Loncar, has slammed the information about a possible trade between both Russian teams, including also Pops Mensah-Bonsu. Either way, Zagday also admited CSKA is interested in the Croatian center.

Ukrainian Federation denies Guy Goodes offer

Despite the rumours coming from Israel, Ukrainian Basketball Federation is not interested in hiring Guy Goodes as the National Team coach, according to members of the same Federation. The final decision about the new coach will be held at the end of this month.

Hemofarm interested in Marque Perry

Serbian team Hemofarm want to sign American guard Marque Perry to replace Miljan Pavkovic, out for the rest of the season due to mononucleosis. Perry is currently a free agent after his former team, BC Donetsk, was disbanded. Last season, he played in Russia for Triumph Lyubertsy.

Ahmet Kandemir resigned as Mersin Buyuksehir head coach

Turkish team Mersin Buyuksehir will have to find a new head coach after the resignation of Ahmet Kandemir, who left the team after not reaching the desired level in the TBL. Mersin is currently at the bottom of the Turkish league table with a 4-14 balance.

Ukrainian Federation want Guy Goodes to coach the National Team

Hapoel Jerusalem coach, Guy Goodes, has recieved an offer to guide the Ukrainian National Team. Goodes is deciding whether to accept and will answer in the next days. Ukraine will try to qualify for the 2011 European Championship this summer in the Preliminary Round against Bosnia, Macedonia, United Kingdom and Hungary.

Houston Rockets to sign Garrett Temple to a 10-day contract; Will Conroy will be back to D-League

Houston Rockets will call up Garrett Temple, currently playing in D-League team Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Temple will be signed to a 10-day contract, and will help to fill the void Trevor Ariza and Kyle Lowry injuries left in Rockets roster. To make room for Temple, Rockets will send back Will Conroy to the D-League, not extending his 10-day contract.

Cajasol sign Ruben Douglas for just with two weeks for a try-out

Panamian guard Ruben Douglas arrives today to Sevilla to start training with Cajasol. Spanish team has signed Douglas for two weeks for a try-out, according to his new coach Joan Plaza, and will extend the relationship depending of his physical condition. Douglas played last season for Valencia and Virtus Roma, and was a free agent since summer.
