Dirk Nowitzki will be a free agent this summer

Dirk Nowitzki has officially notified to the Dallas Mavericks that he is opting out of his final year of contract with the NBA team, and that he will become a free agent this summer. The German 31-year-old forward will rennounce to next season scheduled $21.5 million salary by opting out. The Mavericks, though, will try to resign him.
